Celestial Voices - The dangers of mediumship and how to avoid them.

The practice of any form of mediumship carries with it the responsibility to remain grounded, free from delusion and open to the delivery of a message rooted in the highest principles of God and Good. A helpful affirmation for any medium would be the following: "I am the essence of honor, I am the soul of integrity."

In order to be an excellent medium a person should recognize that the source of the message as well as the content of the message does not come from the mediums own consciousness. An excellent medium will reach out to the Higher Planes of Spirit and bring back the message given by Spiritual Teachers or Guides or, given by loved ones who are being accompanied by their own Spiritual Guides. To disregard this practice is to invite great danger into your life.

Mediums who work without the presence of Spirit Guides may be giving messages that come from their own consciousness or from any unknown spirit who gets into their open channel. Messages received in this way are often full of the mediums own opinions and the deluded opinions of souls who inhabit the lower astral realms. If a person seeking a message from you wants your opinion on the matter, they should ask for counseling not a reading. There is a difference between counseling and the practice of mediumship. Both, however, require many years of study to achieve excellence.

In order to reduce the danger of becoming involved in deluded mediumship, I would recommend the following:

	Set up a "gate" guarded by a known Spirit Guide before you begin the reading. This will keep lower astral spirits from using your channel without going through the gate.
	Give out only what you "see" or "hear," not what you think the sitter wants to hear. It may not make sense to you, but it may be the most important message you can impart.
	Learn as much about Natural Law as you can. The world of Spirit has a hard time getting through the consciousness of a medium who does not understand the principles of their Wisdom.
	Keep a clear and open mind and try to keep YOUR opinion out of the message.
	Practice the Golden Rule always.
	Protect yourself and your sitter with Spiritual Light.
	Remember that no medium is ever 100% accurate.
	Have a friend you can trust tell you if your messages are getting deluded or full of your own opinions.
	Strive for and seek proof and evidence of genuine paranormal content in your messages.
	Give yourself a big pat on the back for doing your part in fulfilling God's Divine Plan on Earth.
